Dietitians are graduates of Bachelor’s/ College Degree in Food Technology/ Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent and licensed Registered Nutritionist – Dietitian. At least 1 year of working experience in related field is required.

1. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
2. Knowledge of menu planning, food costing, food purchasing, food production, food safety and inventory management
3. Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and can thrive in an atmosphere of tight deadlines and changing priorities
4. Detail oriented, organized and has strong analytical skills with the ability to develop creative solutions to solve problems

The tuition fee in private colleges and universities for BS in Nutrition and Dietetics ranges from P40,000 – P62,000 per semester while SUCs offer courses for free or minimal fees from P20,000 – P25,000 per semester.

Dietitians have opportunities in wide range of areas as clinical (HMOs, hospitals, health care facilities, wellness centers), research and academe, food and pharmaceutical. They can also set up nutrition-related businesses.
