Foresters are graduates of Bachelor’s/ College Degree, Forestry, others or equivalent and posses the Forester License.  At least 2-years of working experience in the related field is required for this position

1. Knowledge in DENR Compliances
2. Familiar with ISO-14001 (Environmental Management System)
3. Good Communications skills (written and oral)
4. Excellent inter-personal skills
5. Ability to engage with the local community
6. Willing and able to travel
7. Ability to learn and speak the local language in place of assignment
8. Ability to connect (technically, emotionally) with environmental issues

SUCs offer BS in Forestry free of tuition or minimal fees per semester from Php 4,000-25,000 per semester.

Agribusiness, Mining and Quarrying

Foresters may gain experience and trainings to become Environmental Compliance Inspector, Forest Fire Prevention Specialist.
