Qualifications

Welders are graduates of Vocational Course in Welding and posses a Certificate in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (NC II).

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
  • Adeptness in using welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA etc.)
  • Adeptness in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficient in English
Cost of Education and Training

Tuition fee in BS in Industrial Technology major in Welding Technology/Metal Trades-Welding and Pipefitting cost P3,000 – P7,500 per semester while Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC II cost P43,000 for entire program.
